Grend cabins teams up with Flor & Fjære

Grend has signed an exclusive agreement with Norway's largest television channel, TV2. In 2025, 12 selected celebrities will reside in our cabins while competing in a completely new reality concept. The location for the filming is Flor & Fjære, Norway's only palm island.

A tropical oasis on the western coast

Far out in the sea gap outside Stavanger, a family-run business has transformed a remote island into an indescribable tropical gem. At this unique sanctuary, you wander between palm trees, beaches, ponds, waterfalls, exotic plants, and 50,000 annual summer flowers.

With its apparent focus on preservation and coexistence with nature, Flor & Fjære is a natural partner for Grend. We align in our mission to blur the constructed divide between humans and nature and find ways to live in each other's presence with respect and joy.

Although the cabins are exclusive and rented out throughout the year, we recommend a visit to experience the paradise for yourself:

On arrival, you will be greeted by the family and their guides, who are ready to show you the beauty of the garden and share secrets and stories. A tour of the 50-acre oasis gives an insight into three generations' passion for creating and nourishing the blossoming diversity of plants that inhabit the island.

After the tour, a 3-course dinner is served in the jungle restaurant. The head chef has built a kitchen practice on pure natural flavors from the best local ingredients. With a new greenhouse on the island, self-produced and untraveled herbs and vegetables also make their mark on the menu!

Lastly, it is time to enjoy the gardens on your own before returning to Stavanger. Let the magnificent flora open and tickle your senses with its lush bouquet of colors, smells, and forms. Take a deep breath, and enjoy the view.

Flor & Fjære is a private family country house, open for pre-booked visits in the season, from mid-May to the end of September.
